About Jane Lee Rebellion Defense

An experienced former senior government executive, Jane Lee joined Rebellion Defense as head of policy and government affairs in 2021. In this position, Jane Lee advises senior executive leadership on global public policy to guide the company’s mission of enhancing national security through AI. Ms. Lee completed her undergraduate studies in international relations at Stanford University, and earned her master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University. Over the following two decades, she served in several roles in the private sector and federal government offices. After starting her career in 2003 in the Senate Commerce Committee, Ms. Lee spent six years working for the White House Office of Management and Budget. In her role as a military operations program examiner, she oversaw the financial plans, regulations, and legislation of the Department of Defense. She also served as the chief spokesperson for the White House's federal management, procurement and regulation policy offices. From 2011 to 2021, Ms. Lee covered multiple key positions in Washington, D.C., most notably as a senior adviser for the office of Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. In this position, she advised Senate leadership and helped lead top spending negotiations on issues such as CARES Act and reconciliation bills, including Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. In 2022, Jane Lee became a fellow of the National Security Institute and founded a trade organization, Software in Defense Coalition, to represent the interests of small businesses trying to serve the national security mission. Among her other professional affiliations, she has served as a board member of DC Learns, and in 2020 she joined as a member of the Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership.
